Cited by renowned Israeli wine expert Daniel Rogov as among “the best wine ever made in Israel,” Yarden Rom represents the culmination of an eight-year collaboration between Schoenfeld and Long to maximize the quality potential of distinct vineyard blocks in northern Israel.
Yarden Rom 2006 is a blend of three varieties, made up of 37% Syrah, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon and 29% Merlot. The grapes are sourced from the finest vineyards in the central and northern Golan Heights and from one outstanding vineyard in the Upper Galilee. The name Rom means “elevation” or “summit” in Hebrew, and is a tribute to the outstanding quality and future potential of the wine.
